What Russia really intends

Fascism

The New Voice of Ukraine (nv.ua) published on 4 April 2022 an English translation of an article by the Russian government oriented outlet РИА Новости (Ria Novosti), published one day earlier. The Russian article has the title Что Россия должна сделать с Украиной, ‘What Russia should do with Ukraine’.

The Ukrainian site calls it a “fascist manifesto”. After reading it (in English, I cannot read Russian), I agree. Quite a shocking text, and telling.

Imperialism

Former Russian president Dmitri Medvedev (Дмитрий Медведев) posted this message to Telegram. The Google Translate and DeepL translations are somewhat difficult to read. But it ends in:

Цель во имя спокойствия будущих поколений самих украинцев и возможности наконец построить открытую Евразию – от Лиссабона до Владивостока.

Google Translate makes of that:

The goal is for the sake of the peace of future generations of Ukrainians themselves and the opportunity to finally build an open Eurasia - from Lisbon to Vladivostok.

Is this meant symbolically? Culturally? Or militarily? Either way, no way! ¡No pasarán!

Буча

I found both links in an article in Dutch newspaper NRC, about the Bucha massacre.
