4 June 2001
This shows where it's at:
The white specks are ice in June, believe me
A little closer by
and closer still
It's actually a mixture of frozen snow, sand and mud
Proof I was really there in person
Here on the roof of Portugal, thinking I had come from afar, I met a group of tourists from Finland:
from the upper right corner of euro land to lower left.
I recognized the sound of their language from a distance. And they confirmed it was Finnish.
The tower (Torre in Portuguese, hence the name) is 7 meters high,
completing the peak's altitude of 1993 m to reach 2000.
